- DENTAL
Branding, marketing and websites for dental practices patients remember.
Novu Creative is a Sydney design and digital agency helping dental practices stand out, get found and fill chairs, with AHPRA compliance built into every deliverable.
THE PROBLEM
Most dental practices are invisible by design. The same stock smile, the same blue-and-white palette, the same list of services as every practice in the suburb. When every dentist looks identical, patients choose on distance and price, and your years of expertise count for nothing in the decision. The practices that win have three things working together: a brand patients remember, a website that converts them, and marketing that reaches them. And because dentistry is a registered health profession, all three must comply with AHPRA's advertising requirements. Most agencies can't do the design. Almost none know the rules. We do both.
Branding for dental practices
Your brand is why a parent chooses your practice before reading a single review.
Practice identity
Logo, colour, typography and art direction designed around who you actually treat: anxious kids, cosmetic patients, families, referrers. Dental Paediatrix came to us as a standard clinic and left as a brand children genuinely respond to.
Positioning and tone of voice
What your practice stands for and how it speaks, from your website copy to the recall SMS. In a profession where AHPRA restricts what you can claim, how you sound is the differentiator.
Brand rollout
Signage, uniforms, stationery, appointment cards, social templates and in-practice environment, so the brand a patient sees online is the one they walk into.
Rebrands for established practices
Keeping the trust and recognition you’ve built while fixing the identity that’s holding you back, including succession and practice-purchase rebrands.
Marketing for dental practices
Education-led content
The questions parents and patients ask, answered on your site and socials, building trust and search authority at the same time. Reviewed against AHPRA’s guidelines before anything goes live.
Social media
Consistent, on-brand content that shows the practice behind the surgery, produced as a system rather than in bursts.
Patient communication
Designed EDMs for recalls, reminders and practice news that patients actually open, protecting the revenue already in your books.
Referrer marketing
For specialist and paediatric practices: the collateral and communication that keep referring dentists and GPs sending patients your way.
Websites for dental practices
Built to be found
Local SEO from the ground up: suburb-level optimisation, Google Business Profile alignment, schema markup and site speed. Plus AI search visibility, because patients now ask ChatGPT and Google’s AI “best paediatric dentist near me”, and we structure your content so AI assistants can find and recommend you.
Built to convert
Fast, mobile-first sites structured around what patients actually search: treatment concerns, location, practitioner bios, transparent fees where appropriate, and one-click booking from every page.
Built compliant
Practitioner registration details presented correctly, imagery and claims that meet AHPRA’s advertising guidelines, and no accidental section 133 testimonial breaches.
Why AHPRA knowledge matters
Dental marketing carries obligations most agencies have never read:
- No testimonials about clinical aspects of care in your advertising, including republished Google reviews
- No misleading claims, and careful use of before-and-after imagery with appropriate disclaimers
- Since 2 September 2025, tightened AHPRA rules for advertising higher-risk cosmetic procedures, which capture dental veneers
- Practitioner registration details presented correctly
An agency that doesn’t know these rules puts your registration at risk with every post. Compliance is built into every deliverable we produce, across brand, web and marketing.
Experience in your industry
We’ve delivered branding, websites and marketing for dental practices and organisations including Dental Paediatrix, Penrith Dentists, Dental PX, and the ANZSPD 2026 Congress for the Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry. From family practices to specialist paediatric dentistry and the profession’s own events, we understand how patients choose a dentist, how referrers choose a specialist, and what stops both from acting.
“The team’s creative approach brought our brand to life, making our online presence more vibrant and appealing to both children and parents.”
Jad Clarke, Dental Paediatrix

Frequently asked questions
Should we rebrand or just rebuild the website?
It depends what’s broken. If patients don’t remember you, it’s brand. If they find you but don’t book, it’s the website. If neither, it’s marketing. The free review tells you honestly which one, and we’ll tell you if you need less than you think.
Can we show Google reviews on our website?
Not if they mention clinical care. Under AHPRA’s testimonial rules, republishing a review that talks about treatment, symptoms or outcomes on your website or socials counts as using a testimonial in your advertising, even though a patient wrote it. Reviews about non-clinical things like friendly staff, easy parking or short wait times are generally fine, and we’ll help you work out which is which.
Do the new cosmetic advertising rules affect dentists?
They apply to all registered health professions, including dentistry, from 2 September 2025, and AHPRA named veneers when it announced them. If you promote cosmetic treatments, it’s worth reviewing how you present them, from imagery to the language you use. Our free practice review will flag anything in your current marketing that needs a second look.
We're a specialist practice. Do you understand referral marketing?
Yes. Referring dentists and GPs choose a specialist on trust, convenience and how easy you make their job, so we build the collateral and communication that keeps you front of mind: referral forms, referrer-facing web pages and regular practice updates. We’ve worked with paediatric dental practices and on the ANZSPD 2026 Congress, so we know the audience.
Do you work outside Sydney?
Yes. We’re based in Sydney and work with practices across Australia, as well as clients in New Zealand. Most of the work runs smoothly online, from the free review through to launch.
What does it cost?
It depends on scope. The practice review is free. Foundation projects are quoted on your brief, and retainers are scoped monthly around what your practice needs. Book a free review and we’ll give you a clear quote.
